The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. - Psalm 19:1-4
Here are our upcoming gatherings...
Sunday, 10/1 @ 9am - 9:45am: Koinonia (Fellowship)
Following the pattern of Acts 2:42, we'll gather in groups of three to share one thing for which we are thankful, one concern to pray for, and one sin to confess.
Sunday, 10/1 @ 10am - 11:15am: Worship Service
This service will be live-streamed: www.youtube.com (ACC channel).
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. - Psalm 19:14
Gathered together as the LORD's people, we'll use words and meditations to honor our Redeemer for what He has done for us. Pastor Jim Halstead will preach from Matthew 9:35-38, which is a passage describing the ministry of Jesus, and the mission for those who claim to be His disciples. After this, we'll take time once again to reflect on the grace of God as we share communion together; we'll remember and proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” - Matthew 9:35-38
Sunday, 10/1 @ 11:15am - 11:45am: Congregational Meeting
Members of ACC are requested to attend. We’ll elect two members to serve on the Nominating Committee, which will be tasked with discerning the Lord’s will for the slate of elders to be considered for the annual meeting January 28, 2024.
Tuesday, 10/3 @ 11am - 12pm: Prayer Meeting
We'll pray using the ACTS method (Adoration of God, Confessing our sins, Thanksgiving to God, Supplications to God). Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19
