We are convinced the church has been commissioned to be generous in every element of life. This grace is often displayed when we meet tangible needs within the community. Therefore, we partner with New Mercies Ministries, which is a gospel-centered organization providing supportive connections, safe housing, and restorative services for women and families, empowering them to gain stability and ultimately live independently.
NMM provides safe, loving homes where parents may voluntarily have their children cared for while seeking to restore stability in their lives. Volunteer Host Families, recruited through the local church, provide a loving home where children can stay while their parents get back on their feet. Family Coaches come alongside parents during the hosting, giving them support and mentorship. Through its dedicated volunteers, NMM helps to prevent child abuse, deflect children from the foster care system, stabilize families, and share the light and hope of Christ with vulnerable families in our community.
NMM provides a perfect opportunity for the church to respond to God’s call to practice biblical hospitality (Hebrews 13:2) and to care for the fatherless and the vulnerable (Psalm 82:3-4; Isaiah 1:17).
